How This Reference Works
Idaho Code §20-601(5) requires a person arrested and taken to a county jail to complete booking, including a photograph and fingerprints. That rule explains why an intake image may exist. It does not require an agency to publish a public online gallery. Oneida County has no current jail or holding facility, so an arrest documented by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office may be booked at the Caribou County Jail in Soda Springs.
The county sheriff remains the local arrest and records agency. Caribou operates the receiving facility. Idaho courts preserve the later case history, while the Idaho Department of Correction search covers state custody and supervision. The Idaho iCourt portal and federal locators answer different questions. This site brings those distinctions, official links, and records-request steps together so a reader can start with the right source.
What Oneida Pages Provide
The page set is organized around the real Oneida County record path rather than an invented jail roster. It includes:
- A countywide explanation of booking records, recent arrest searches, custody limits, and public-record requests on the home page.
- A safety-focused Most Wanted Fugitives page for warrant and court-search routes when no verified public countywide wanted roster is available.
- A Crime News page that separates local reporting from official custody records and later court dispositions.
- A dedicated Malad City Busted Mugshots page, because Malad City is Oneida County’s only incorporated city.
- Directions to IDOC, BOP, ICE, court, VINE, sheriff, and receiving-jail sources when the custody system or record type changes.
What We Cannot Do
Oneida County Busted Mugshots is privately operated. It has no connection with Oneida County, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, Caribou County Jail, Idaho corrections officials, or any other government agency. The pages are reference material, not an official record system.
- We cannot release, transfer, or hold a person in custody.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send money to a person in jail.
- We cannot provide legal advice or decide what a court record means.
- We cannot promise that an address, fee, phone number, roster result, or agency practice has not changed.
Only the originating sheriff, jail, court, corrections office, or locator can confirm a current status, charge, release, or disposition. Information here should be checked against that official source.
Search Partners
Some pages contain search boxes supplied by third-party providers. Those providers set their own prices, terms, and result policies. If a search tool leads to a paid signup, Oneida County Busted Mugshots may receive a referral fee that helps support the site. A referral does not give this site control over the provider’s pricing, data, or results, so official offices remain the place to verify a record.
